Ingredients:-
Potatoes-2 large,cut to big size pieces
Frozen peas -1/4 cup
Cumin seeds - 1/2tsp
Asofoetida (hing) pinch
Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
Onion 1 finely chopped
Ginger garlic paste 1/2 tbsp
Tomatoes 2 chopped
Coriander powder 2 tsp
Cumin powder 1 tsp
Garam masala - 1tsp
Red chilly powder - 1 tsp
Amchur powder- 1/2-1 tsp
Oil 3 tbsp
Salt as per taste
Preparation:-
*Cook potatoes in a kadai until half cooked.(don't use pressure cooker),peel the skin and cut into big sizes and keep aside.
*Heat oil,add cumin seeds and allow them to sizzle.*Add hing,turmeric powder and onions.Mix well and saute for 3-4 minutes.
*Add Ginger garlic paste and saute till oil separates.
*Then add tomatoes and saute again till oil separates.
*Add coriander powder,garam masala,red chilly powder,cumin powder,amchur powder and salt.
*Mix well.
*Then add half cooked potatoes,mix well to coat all potatoes.Cover and cook for 5 minutes until the potatoes are cooked but not messed up.
*Add green peas,mix well and be careful in mixing so that potatoes doesn't get mashed up.
Yummy Curry Varunavi..Amchur powder would have given a nice taste to it..will try soon..Love to have it with chapathi..
